Bio

As a Senior EHS Regulatory Specialist and the Utilities National Market Sector Lead with EnSafe Inc., Brooke focuses on assisting utilities with environmental, safety, health, emergency preparedness, and natural gas compliance.  In addition, Brooke has been a champion of environmental stewardship efforts within APGA's Direct Use Task Group (DUTG).  She understands that utilities are environmental stewards and focuses how to positively present their efforts.

Formerly with Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB), Brooke held several positions for the combination utility (water, wastewater, natural gas, electric, and fiber) in her 20 year tenure including Manager of System Maintenance Services, Gas Systems Engineering, and Safety, Security, & Technical Services. She also served as the Assistant to the Chief Engineer and Director of Construction with her final position was Director of Engineering, which compassed ~140 employees performing design, project and program management, inspection, mapping, integrity management, and business analytics for KUB’s natural gas, water, wastewater, and electric systems. 

She began her career working as a consultant for a local environmental consulting firm and transition to KUB in 2003. With 24 years in the industry, she has an extensive safety, regulatory, and management background and holds several certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant and Soil Science with a concentration in Environmental Science in 1999 and a Master of Science degree in Safety Management in 2010 both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
