APGA Update on Coronavirus

APGA would like to update members on our response to COVID-19, also referred to as the Coronavirus. APGA continues to closely monitor the situation and our staff is participating on weekly calls with the Oil and Natural Gas Subsector Coordinating Council, which serves as a forum to coordinate oil and natural gas security strategies, activities, policy, and communication across the sector to support the nation's homeland security mission. Updates and developments that come out of those calls are being posted on the APGA Community. APGA held a webinar addressing utility emergency preparedness and response plans to help our members prepare for pandemic planning. The webinar can be viewed at www.apga.org/webinars.

At this point, we are postponing the APGA Membership Tour's March and April stops. Information on the tour can be found at www.apga.org/membertour. While the situation obviously remains very fluid, we still have plans to hold the May Board and Committee Meetings this May 3-5, and have our meetings on Capitol Hill and with other policymakers as we have done in the past. Should this change, we will let members know immediately. APGA understands that individuals may have a range of thoughts/concerns regarding how COVID-19 may impact them, their families and the way they live their lives on a daily basis. APGA is respectful of all those concerns and will do our best to share information on a real-time basis to allow members to make the best decisions you can going forward.
