APGA Webinar with Consumer Energy Alliance Discusses State Legislation

APGA is a proud supporter of the Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA) and its efforts to promote balanced energy policies around the country. Specifically, this group engages at a state and local level to ensure Americans are not burdened by policies that raise energy prices, many of which are caused by electrification efforts.

Given this great focus, APGA coordinated an update from CEA for association members. Via a webinar on May 19, CEA staff shared the latest occurrences in several state sessions regarding responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and any impact on energy policy. They also provided updates on energy legislation that was enacted or introduced before most state legislatures ended as a precaution for COVID-19 spread. The webinar specifically focused on these Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. The CEA speakers were then gracious in covering a few other topics during the question and answer time following their presentation. If you unable to attend live, please go to www.apga.org/webinars to see the slides and hear a recording.
