The State of Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury has approved the 2020 APGA Annual Conference, which will be held virtually beginning on July 20th and running through the 23rd, for 6.25 hours of Utility Commissioner Training Credits as required under Tennessee law. By way of background, the State of Tennessee recently passed legislation that requires utility board members to receive 12 hours of training with the first 12 months of their initial election/appointment (or re-election/reappointment) and 12 hours every three years thereafter. The subjects for training include board governance, financial oversight, policy-making responsibilities, and other topics reasonably related to a board member’s responsibilities.

This year’s Annual Conference will include Dena Wiggins, President & CEO of the Natural Gas Supply Association and Tim Egan, President of the Canadian Gas Association, as well as numerous other speakers addressing a wide range of topics from an overview of natural gas supply/demand to challenges facing the direct use of natural gas. Information on the Annual Conference is available on the APGA website at www.apga.org/annualconference/agenda.
