On April 15, APGA’s Executive Vice President, Dave Schryver, served as the Keynote Speaker at the Southeast LDC Gas Forum held in Atlanta. The LDC Gas Forum is held regionally to bring people together from the natural gas industry to discuss vital regional and national issues affecting all aspects of the natural gas marketplace. The event is held annually and is very well attended by APGA members and other representatives from the natural gas industry.

In his presentation, Dave provided an overview of the 116th Congressional session and discussed the challenges the direct use of natural gas is facing at the federal, state and local level. Dave also provided an overview of APGA’s efforts to ensure that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission address the impact of the lowered corporate tax rate on pipeline rates. He also discussed the efforts of APGA and the Direct use Task Group, which is made up of APGA members as well as representatives from investor-owned gas systems, to respond to the attacks on the direct use of natural gas at the federal and state level.
