On November 16, the Department of Energy (DOE) published their Fall 2018 Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions. The list includes a brief description of each rulemaking and a timetable for action. For APGA members there are several rulemakings to note.

For Residential Non-Weatherized Gas Furnaces and Mobile Home Gas Furnaces, DOE is proposing a possible Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (SNOPR) for January 2019. In August they proposed a final action in November of 2018.

For Commercial Water Heating Equipment, DOE is proposing a final action for January 2019. It should be noted that for this rule DOE has never proposed a standard. Their last action was to take comments on their data.

For Commercial Packaged Boilers, Residential Conventional Cooking Products (Final Action 09/00/17) and their “Modifying the Energy Conservation Program to Implement a Market-Based Approach,” proposals are all listed but do not include and any additional action items.
