June 16, 2015 - Senators Jonny Isakson, David Perdue, Lamar Alexander, Deb Fischer, Bob Corker, and Tim Scott wrote Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz that the DOE furnace rule raising nationwide standards to 92% will significantly increase costs to natural gas consumers, switch them to less efficient alternatives, and ultimately undermine the efficiency goals that underlie the Energy Policy and Conservation Act.
