Dearest Members,

I take this pen in hand to tell you of our fourth day on the tour. The weather here in western Tennessee is simply divine. The sun is shining and the humidity is low enough to not mess with my hair. Our friends in Jackson, Tenn., selected quite the spot for our gathering this morning: the theater at the dear Casey Jones Museum. It was such a perfect setting. Velvet church pews made our guests so very comfortable. Our dearest friend Pat Riley of the Gibson County Utility District was sure to make our presence known to all who drove past. He parked his large Natural Gas Vehicle directly next to the desolate parking spots dedicated to electric vehicles.

For our discussion, we were joined by nearly 30 of our member friends including four of our esteemed APGA Board members: Tae Eaton of the Paris-Henry County Public Utility District, Braxton Williams of the Jackson Energy Authority, Mark O’Neil of the Greater Dickson Gas Authority, and the afore mentioned Pat Riley. We were so thankful that they could make the journey to visit with us. It made for quite the roundtable discussion after our lunch.

I was sure to taste the famous crackling cornbread at the Old Country Store. Dave and Bert ate meals large enough to sustain them for the harrowing 90- minute journey to the great city of Memphis. We will be lodging at the grand Peabody hotel. I just can’t wait to see those little ducks do their march!

Faithfully,
Erin
