Veterans In Energy Forum

The Third Annual Veterans in Energy Forum will be held October 4-5 at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Arlington, Va. Veterans in Energy (VIE) is a national employee resource group that provides transition, retention and professional development support to military veterans working in energy. We encourage you to consider attending this important event and to include those on your teams who have served in the military. In 2018, in addition to a round of exceptional keynotes and a CEO panel, there will be Chief Nuclear Officer and employee networking group panels, as well as deep dives on flexible coal generation and renewables and battery storage. There will also be Continuing Education credit opportunities for attendance at some sessions. Many state licensing boards require that Professional Engineers maintain and improve their skills through continuing education courses and other opportunities, and it is expected that the majority of the program this year will provide contact hours.

The Forum is an opportunity to gather with CEOs, decision-makers, and other veterans working in the energy sector, and to engage with speakers who have made a difference in our nation’s policy and leadership. Attendees should be veterans working in the energy industry, and attendance is also open to those in government, research, and academia.
