Jeff Clarke of NGVAmerica will host a webinar on behalf of APGA’s members on the current status and next steps for the Environmental Mitigation Trust (EMT) Fund, which provides nearly $3 billion in funding for all 50 states for alternative fueled vehicles. The webinar is scheduled for Friday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. EST. VW was found guilty of using defeat devices on their 2.0 liter and 3.0 liter vehicles in the U.S. to pass the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) emissions standards tests. As a result of their guilt, VW created the EMT Fund to help states reduce nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide emissions by repowering or purchasing of new vehicles. Each state will receive a minimum of $7.5 million in funding from the 2.0 liter settlement and additional funding from the 3.0 liter settlement will add to that minimum total.  All APGA members interested in offering projects to receive funding for natural gas vehicles should plan on participating in this important webinar.
